About Us

The East/West Family Law Council was organized in the 1980's
by a small cadre of Family Law attorneys whose areas of
practice were concentrated primarily in the East end of Los
Angeles County (Pomona) and the West end of San Bernardino
County (Rancho Cucamonga).

Having begun the organization as a means of improving
communication between the bench and bar, as well as to
facilitate the administration of justice and services in the field of
Family Law, our membership has grown to include not only
attorneys, but also judicial officers and other professionals, such
as forensic accountants and psychologists, who contribute their
skills and expertise to the advancement of Family Law related
issues.

Our meetings are held monthly at local restaurants, where we
socialize, exchange ideas, network, and participate in
educational  seminars for which MCLE credit is earned.  We also
maintain close communication with our bench officers so that
we may continually improve local courtroom practices and
procedures.

The East/West Family Law Council, whose work is performed by
the dedicated, committed, and strictly voluntary efforts of its
officers and committee members, strives to promote an image of
the highest degree of professionalism, while providing a relaxed
forum for information sharing among our growing community of
Family Law practitioners and friends.
